Ultimatum of 5000 Pakistani citizens living in Delhi to leave the country, the deadline will be jail

The Intelligence Bureau has handed over to Delhi Police a list of 5000 Pakistani Hindu citizens residing in Delhi on long-term visas. The government has directed them to return to Pakistan soon, initiating verification process.

Ultimatum of 5000 Pakistani

New Delhi: The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has given a list of about 5000 Pakistani citizens living in Delhi to the Delhi Police. This list has been handed over by the FRRO (Foreigners Regional Registration Office) to the Special Branch of Delhi Police. After this, this information has also been sent to the concerned districts, so that these people can be identified and investigated. This list contains the names of those Pakistani Hindu citizens who have long term visas and who are still living in India. The government has now asked them to return to their country. Their number is said to be the highest in the Central and North East districts of Delhi.

Overstay at Your Own Risk: Govt Warns Pakistani Citizens

The central government has issued a notice on Sunday evening. It says that legal action will be taken against those Pakistani citizens who do not leave India within the stipulated time. Such people can be punished with 3 years of imprisonment, or a fine of Rs 3 lakh, or both.

Instructions for action to Delhi Police

A senior officer said that a meeting has been held on this issue and Delhi Police has been asked to take action soon. Special Branch and Intelligence Department have been assigned the task of gathering information about these citizens and asking them to leave India.

Terrorist attack in Pahalgam – 26 killed

On 22 April, terrorists attacked tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
The terrorists were wearing army uniforms and in the Byasaran Valley, they first asked people about their religion and then opened fire. 26 people died in this attack. Most of the dead were tourists, 2 foreign nationals and 2 locals are also included. On 18 May last year, terrorist attacks took place at two places – one near Pahalgam, and the other in an open tourist camp.
